Staff Standings Icebreaker
A quick staff meeting icebreaker where teams guess how a coworker ranks six items

A quick ranking game where one person secretly ranks six items and everyone else tries to guess the order. It works at any staff meeting, PD day, or team gathering and needs nothing more than whiteboards and a few minutes.
Why try it
Spark inside jokes and easy conversation by turning a few minutes of a staff meeting into a lighthearted guessing game. Staff learn quirky details about each other, like who really can't stand pineapple on pizza, and walk away with a shared laugh instead.

Instructions
Choose a VIP
At each table, pick one person to be the VIP (Very Important Prioritizer). Show the round's six items and have the VIP secretly rank them from 1 (love most) to 6 (loathe most) on their own board.
Guess the ranking
While the VIP writes, everyone else at the table arranges the same six items in the order they think the VIP ranked them, writing their guess on their own whiteboard.
Reveal, score, and rotate
Have the VIP hold up their board. Everyone scores one point for each item that matches position for position. Pick a new VIP, show a new set of items, and repeat until everyone's had a turn or time runs out.

Additional tips for running this resource.
Leader Tip #1
Keep score simple
Have each table track points on their own whiteboard instead of reporting back to the front of the room. It keeps the game moving without adding a scorekeeping step.
Leader Tip #2
Set a visible timer
Give the VIP about one minute to rank their items and display a countdown so tables know exactly when to lock in their guesses.
Leader Tip #3
Whole staff edition
Skip small tables and run it as one large group, with a single VIP ranking items in front of everyone while staff guess from their seats.
