Break up a staff meeting agenda with a few minutes of pure fun. This activity gives staff a low-pressure way to be silly together, and hearing everyone's wildly different answers to the same prompts sparks real conversation and laughs across the room.

Instructions
Print and hand out copies
Print the included Mad Libs, choosing from three versions: a teacher's favorite things, a day in the life, and a principal's letter to staff. Give each person one version.
Set a timer and fill in the blanks
Give staff 3-5 minutes to fill in their blanks with whatever comes to mind, no overthinking required.
Share at the table
Have staff take turns reading their finished Mad Libs out loud at their tables.

Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Team version
Have grade-level teams or departments complete one Mad Lib together, debating each blank as a group before writing it down.
Guess the author
Collect finished Mad Libs anonymously, read a few aloud, and have staff guess who wrote each one.
