Instructions
Print and distribute
Print enough copies of the included scategories sheet for your staff and hand one to each person.
Choose a letter
Pick a letter yourself or have a staff member choose one for the round.
Play the round
Set a timer for three minutes and have staff fill in as many categories as they can using the chosen letter. No repeating answers within their own sheet.
Share and score
Have each player share their answers. Award one point per unique answer and double points for alliterations. If two players give the same answer, neither scores for that category.
Crown a winner and replay
The player with the most points at the end of the round wins. Choose a new letter and play again as time allows.
Activity variations
Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Team format
Split staff into small teams instead of playing individually, so each team submits one shared answer per category.
Grade level of department categories
Swap in categories specific to a grade level or department, such as "curriculum unit" or "field trip destination," for a more targeted round.
Speed round
Cut the timer to 90 seconds for a faster, higher energy version once staff are familiar with the game.

Additional tips for running this resource.
Leader Tip #1
Read answers out loud
Going around the room to share answers is where most of the laughs happen, so build in time for it rather than rushing to the next round.
Leader Tip #2
Keep a running scoreboard
Track points across multiple rounds on a whiteboard so staff can see their standing and stay engaged through several letters.
