Glow and Grow Cards
A quick peer feedback activity for staff meetings and PD days.

Glow & Grow Cards give staff a simple way to share feedback after a meeting, PD session, or peer observation. Each person writes one thing they appreciated (the glow) and one area for growth (the grow) on an included card.
Why try it
Give every staff member a quick, structured way to reflect on a shared meeting, PD session, or observation. Pairing a positive note with a growth note keeps the feedback constructive and covers both what worked and what to adjust.
The format works for leadership team meetings, full staff PD, or peer-to-peer classroom visits.

Instructions
Print and hand out cards
Print the included Glow & Grow cards and give one to each staff member attending the meeting, PD session, or observation debrief.
Fill out the card
Ask staff to write one thing they appreciated in the glow section and one area for growth in the grow section.
Collect or share responses
Gather completed cards to read on your own, or have staff share their glow and grow out loud in pairs or as a group.
Note any follow-up
Look for patterns across the cards and decide if any changes are worth carrying into the next meeting, session, or observation cycle.
Activity variations
Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Peer observation pairs
After a peer observation, have both teachers exchange glow and grow cards directly with each other instead of submitting them to a leader.
Team meetings
Use the cards at the end of grade-level or department meetings so teams reflect together on how the meeting went.
Anonymous drop box
Set out a box near the exit for staff to submit their cards anonymously rather than reading them aloud.

Additional tips for running this resource.
Leader Tip #1
Model it first
Share your own glow and grow before asking staff to fill out their cards, so they see the balance in action.
Leader Tip #2
Push for specifics
Encourage details over general praise. A note like "the small group rotation kept everyone on task" gives you more to work with than "it was good."
Leader Tip #3
Use it consistently
Add the cards to the end of every PD session or observation debrief so staff expect feedback as a normal part of the process.
