Collaborative Positivity Boards
A shared bulletin board where staff and students contribute uplifting quotes, artwork, gratitude notes, and school accomplishments.

Set up a shared bulletin board where staff and students contribute uplifting quotes, artwork, gratitude notes, and school accomplishments. It gives your whole community a visible place to celebrate what's good, together.
Why try it
A positivity board works as a team-building activity because it invites everyone to contribute, not just receive. Staff see their peers celebrated alongside students, and the board grows with input from across the building over time. It's an easy, low-prep way to make connection visible in a shared space.

Instructions
Set up the board
Create a bulletin board in a hallway, main corridor, or common area. Add the included printable and announce the board to staff and students, encouraging them to add uplifting quotes, student artwork, gratitude shoutouts, and recent accomplishments. Keep contribution materials (printable cards, sticky notes, pens, blank cards) nearby so participating is easy and self-directed.
Refresh regularly
Swap out filled sections every few weeks to keep the board current and make room for new contributions. Highlight a few additions during morning announcements or a staff meeting to encourage ongoing participation.

Additional tips for running this resource.
Leader Tip #1
Mix staff and student voices
Including contributions from both staff and students makes the board feel like a whole-school effort rather than a top-down display.
Leader Tip #2
Seed it first
Add a few examples yourself before opening it up. A board with a handful of starter contributions is easier to engage with than a blank one.
Leader Tip #3
Keep materials close
Tuck a small basket of included printable cards, sticky notes, and pens near the board so contributing takes seconds, not effort.
