Staff Trick or Treat: A 5-Step Halloween Staff Activity
A Halloween staff activity with 10-15 treat stations around your school.

What does a staff trick or treat activity look like?
Staff Trick or Treat turns your building into a route of 10-15 treat stations. During their planning period, staff grab a bag and visit each stop for a snack, a wellness goodie, or a desk supply, plus a pun-filled sign at every station.
Why try it
Why try a Halloween staff activity like trick or treat?
Give your team a festive break during the school day in late October. Staff step out of their rooms, walk the building, and trade a few laughs with the leaders and colleagues running each station. It’s one of the easiest Halloween staff activities to pull off since the 18 signs and 6 prize coupons are ready to print, and the 30 treat ideas below give you a shopping plan.
Every stop is a quick, face-to-face thank-you from someone on your team, and every staff member walks away with a full bag.

Instructions
Pick your stations
Plan 10-15 staff trick or treat stations
Choose 10-15 stops around the building, like the front office, library, gym, and each leadership team member’s office. Give each stop a different treat.
Staff each station
Assign a host to each Halloween station
Assign a leader, office staff member, or sunshine committee volunteer to each stop. Hand them their treats and the matching sign from the included printables.
Decorate
Decorate with Halloween signs and festive touches
Add pumpkins, spider webs, or other festive touches at each stop, and queue up a Halloween playlist.
Send the invite
Invite staff to trick or treat
Email staff the date, the station locations, and a reminder to bring a bag or pail. Try: “On [date], grab your favorite Halloween bag and visit our trick or treat stations during your planning period: [locations]. We can’t wait to boo-st your day!”
Trick or treat
Host your staff trick or treat day
Open the stations for the full day so every planning period gets a turn. Invite staff to dress up, and give one of the prize coupons to the best costume.
