Quick Quarterly Questions Icebreaker
A quick staff icebreaker activity for reflecting on quarterly wins, goals, and gratitude.

A quick icebreaker where staff answer four reflection prompts on printable cards, covering goals, wins, fun, and gratitude. Cards get posted around the room and read aloud, giving your team a simple way to reflect and connect each quarter.
Why try it
Build in a regular moment for staff to pause and reflect on their goals, wins, and relationships. Hearing what colleagues are proud of or grateful for creates connection across the team and gives you material to reference in future coaching conversations.

Instructions
Set up the room
Print the response cards and signs, then place the cards on tables and hang the signs around the room.
Share the prompts and post responses
Show staff the four prompts: goals, wins, fun, and gratitude. Each person fills out a card or sticky note for one or more prompts, then places it next to the matching sign around the room.
Read them aloud
Once everyone finishes, read the responses aloud. Repeat the activity each quarter to check in with staff and track how their answers shift over time.
Activity variations
Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Anonymous option
Skip the name line for a version where responses stay anonymous, which can open up more honest sharing.
Small group version
Run the activity within grade-level teams or departments instead of the whole staff, then have each group share highlights with everyone else.
