Schoolwide Scavenger Hunt
A schoolwide scavenger hunt with rhyming clues to get staff up and moving.

Hide rhyming clues around the school, each pointing to a common room or location, and let staff race to find the final prize. It's a quick, low-prep way to get your team moving, laughing, and connecting outside their usual spaces.
Why try it
Encourage teamwork and give staff a reason to interact with colleagues they don't see every day. The competitive element adds energy, and the prize at the end gives everyone something to look forward to.

Instructions
Write your clues
Use the included clue cards or write your own. Each clue should point to the next stop, ending at the treasure. Stick to rooms most staff know: the front office, staff lounge, gym, library, and so on.
Place the clues
Post or tape each clue card at its location before staff arrive. The first clue is the only one you hand out directly; the rest are found along the way.
Launch the hunt
Hand each staff member (or team) the first clue and let them go. Set a time limit if you want to add urgency.
Celebrate at the finish
Everyone who reaches the treasure gets to claim it. Run a raffle for all finishers if you want to stretch the celebration.
Activity variations
Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Department vs. department
Split staff into department or grade-level teams and have them race. First team to reach the treasure wins bragging rights.
Run it in teams
Pairing staff up is an easy way to mix grade levels or departments and spark new connections during the hunt.
Staff meeting kickoff
Use the hunt as a staff meeting opener. Send staff on the hunt first, then gather everyone once the treasure is found. It's a built-in icebreaker that gets people in the room already energized.
