Own Your Oops
A low-pressure way to address the small missteps that happen in any school.

A simple printable card activity that gives staff an easy way to acknowledge a mistake, repair a misstep, and recognize something they appreciate about the colleague on the other side of it.
Why try it
Strengthen trust and communication by giving staff a low-pressure way to address the small missteps that happen in any school: a rushed reply, a missed meeting, a moment of miscommunication. A short, handwritten card turns an awkward moment into a chance to reconnect. Use it as an easy, early tool for staff conflict resolution before small frustrations build into bigger tension.

Additional tips for running this resource.
Leader Tip #1
Normalize it early
Share a completed example with your team to model what it looks like, then introduce the activity during a staff meeting so it feels like a shared team tool instead of a surprise.
Leader Tip #2
Keep blank cards stocked
Restock the blank cards regularly so staff always have one on hand when a moment calls for it.
