Family Connection Bingo
A bingo card full of family engagement activities.

Give each staff member a bingo card filled with small, meaningful ways to connect with families: positive calls home, quick notes, drop-off greetings, and more. Staff work through the card at their own pace and earn prizes for completed rows or a full card.
Why try it
This activity keeps family engagement visible and fun all year long. Staff have a built-in prompt to reach out consistently, which builds stronger relationships between school and home over time. The bingo format adds a little friendly competition and gives staff a concrete, satisfying way to build outreach into their regular routine.

Instructions
Print and distribute
Print one bingo card per staff member using the included printable. Hand them out at a staff meeting, drop them in mailboxes, or leave a stack in the lounge.
Explain the challenge
Let staff know the goal: complete as many squares as possible by reaching out to families in the ways listed on the card. Set a timeframe that works for your school, such as a month or a grading period, and share what prizes are up for grabs for completed rows or a full card.
Celebrate progress
At the midpoint or end of the challenge, give staff a chance to share wins. A quick shout-out during a staff meeting or a simple display in the lounge keeps energy up and encourages those who haven't started yet.
Activity variations
Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Team bingo
Assign one shared card to each grade-level team or department. Squares are completed when any team member does the activity for one of their students. The first team to finish a row wins.
Student-tagged version
Use the included version with a "Student:" line under each square. Staff write the student's name as they complete each activity, building a record of every family they've connected with along the way.
Blank card
Use the blank version of the included printable to customize the squares with outreach ideas that fit your school community, such as activities in a home language or touchpoints specific to your grade levels.
