Purpose Paves the Way
A quick team building activity for teachers using a shared staff bulletin board.

Turn a staff bulletin board into a shared display of what motivates your team at the start of the year. Staff pick the value that matters most to them, write their name on a brick, and add it to a growing path on the board.
Why try it
Give every staff member a way to show up in a shared space right from the first week. This team building activity surfaces the values driving your team this year and turns them into a visual your whole staff can see every day in a shared space like the lounge.

Post the title page, directions, and all seven PURPOSE word posters on a bulletin board in the staff lounge or another space every staff member passes through, and set out the brick cutouts along with pens or markers next to the board.
Introduce the activity
Walk staff through the seven PURPOSE words at a staff meeting, typically at the start of the year, so they can choose their word and focus for the year ahead.
Add a brick
Staff read the PURPOSE words, choose the one that means the most to them, write their name on the matching brick, and add it to the board.
