Apple Nacho Bar
An apple nacho bar with a free sign-up sheet for toppings.

An apple nacho bar is a sliced-apple treat station where staff sign up to bring a topping, like caramel, chocolate chips, or granola. Set it out at your next staff meeting for a fun, shareable snack.
Why try it
Give your team something fun to look forward to at your next staff meeting! An apple nacho bar is quick and easy to set up, and inviting staff to sign up for different toppings makes it a team effort instead of just another snack on the table. It's also a fresh, lighter alternative to traditional staff meeting treats and adds a little extra fun and connection to your time together.
Things you'll need

Instructions
Set your date and sign-up deadline
Pick which staff meeting you'll run the apple nacho bar at and a cutoff for topping sign-ups a few days ahead, so everyone knows what's coming before the day arrives.
Share the sign-up sheet
Post the included sign-up sheet in the staff lounge or send a digital version. Staff write their name and the topping they're bringing.
Check for variety
Review the sheet as sign-ups come in. If several staff sign up for the same topping, reach out and suggest a swap.
Slice and set up
Slice the apples shortly before the meeting so they stay fresh, then set out toppings in labeled bowls with scoops next to the apples.
Activity variations
Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Chocolate dip station
Add a warm chocolate or caramel dip pot alongside the toppings for staff to dip their apple slices directly.
Fall flavor theme
Stick to fall-flavored toppings like cinnamon, caramel, and crushed graham crackers for a seasonal spin.
Rotate the fruit
Swap apples for bananas or pears and build the same topping bar around a different fruit.

Additional tips for running this resource.
Leader Tip #1
Provide the apples
Take apples off the sign-up list so you can guarantee enough for everyone, and let staff focus on toppings.
Leader Tip #2
Slice close to start time
Toss sliced apples with a little lemon juice or slice them right before the meeting so they don't brown.
Leader Tip #3
Label every topping
Set a small card next to each topping so staff can see what's available and spot any allergens.
