Staff Podcast Picks
A collaborative activity where staff share podcast episodes focused on personal and professional growth.

A collaborative activity where staff share podcast episodes focused on personal and professional growth. Each person recommends one episode, and the list gets shared with the whole team. It's a low-prep way to support continuous learning and spark new conversations.
Why try it
Give staff a simple way to share what they're learning outside the building. A running podcast recommendation list keeps professional development ideas for teachers flowing year-round, without adding another meeting or agenda item. It also gives staff a window into each other's interests and expertise.

Instructions
Introduce the activity
Let staff know you're building a shared podcast recommendation list. Ask each person to think of one episode, series, or podcast that has influenced how they think about their work or life. Share the idea at a staff meeting, in a newsletter, or via a quick email.
Collect recommendations
Use the included sign-up sheet to gather submissions. Ask each person to include the podcast name, episode title, and one sentence about why they recommend it.
Share the list
Compile the submissions and share the full list with staff through your weekly newsletter, email, or a posted copy in a common area. Add new recommendations each month to keep the list fresh.

Leader Tip #1
Highlight the recommender
When sharing the list, include the staff member's name next to their pick. It makes the activity feel more personal and gives the recommender a small moment of recognition.
Leader Tip #2
Start with a few picks
